She explained that the baby's condition was a rare case. His birth took place in the 24th week of his mother's pregnancy, while the normal birth of any child was 40 weeks and more than one kilogram.
Zaabi confirmed that the section was treated earlier with six similar cases, which were generated after 24 weeks of pregnancy, and stayed in the section of preterm infants between three and four months, adding that it exceeded the complications and all of them are in good health.
She added that the equipment of the preterm infants section and its 18 bed beds contributed to dealing with births that precede the specified number, pointing to the availability of the department on modern and advanced devices such as the kidney cooling unit for children with obstetric asphyxia, ventilators, Retina which managed to treat 20% of children.
She said that the section of preterm works most of the year 70%, while the occupancy rate in some periods to 100%.
